NJ Buffalo Soldier Doyle Kearney
What up y'all
My name is Doyle J. Kearney, a.k.a "Cuz" and my iron horse is a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard 1500.
I am the son of a career Army soldier and was raised throughout the U.S and overseas. I was born in Pisa, Italy and am the middle child of 7 children.
I am a former Marine and served with 3rd Bn, 9th Marines- 3rd Marine Div and 3rd Bn, 5th Marines- 1st Marine Div.
I am married to Cathy and have been for 24 years now. We are grade school sweethearts - we have been together pretty much since the 6th and 4th grades (1969). We have two great children both very intelligent, one son, Connie
Mack, named after his grandpa ( my Dad) and one daughter Sierra Nikkol, my hearts.
I am employed by the Department of the Army and worked for 16 years with the Dept of Defense Police and attained the rank of Captain and for the last 10 yrs have been working as a Dept of the Army Security Specialist. I am eligible for retirement in 5 yrs and am looking forward to it.
I have been riding motorcycles for about 23 years, but off and on for the last 14 years. Now that the children are pretty much grown, I have gotten more into it in the last 8 months and am really enjoying it more than ever. Since getting back in the saddle I have met and ride with a really great group of brothers. Since finding out about and reading about the NJ Buffalo Soldiers, I am very proud to be in the process of becoming a full member of such a positive and professional organization of black men and women. I look forward to many years of safe riding and educating of our people in their heritage and of showing our youngsters that their are plenty of positive role models for them to look up to.
