Soldiers and Friends,
My name is Thomas “TC” Costley. Most people just call me “TC.” I am 63 years young and currently the National President of the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers/Troopers Motorcycle Clubs (NABSTMC). In 1999, I founded the New Jersey Buffalo Soldiers and served as President for 6 years. I have been the National President since 2005.
I am originally from Carroll County, Maryland, but have been living in New Jersey since retiring from the U.S. Air force. I served nearly 27 years in the Air Force, and retired as an Air Force Chief Master Sergeant (E-9) in 1990. In 1993, I joined the New Jersey Department of Corrections and remained with them as a Drill Instructor until retiring in September of 2006.
I have been an avid rider since 1958, and have had the privilege of riding all over the United States, Canada and in Europe. Though retired, most of my time is spent riding and visiting with our chapters across this country and in Canada.
My hobbies include reading and studying American and Black History. I also enjoy riding roller coasters, traveling back roads and watching beautiful sunsets.
I am divorced and the father of one daughter and three sons. All are grown and they have blessed me with a total of eight wonderful grandchildren.
As National President, my goal is to continue to keep the NABSTMC in the fore-front of the fight to change the negative image of biking in general, and black biking in particular. I ask that you all help to make this goal a reality.
