NJ Buffalo Soldier Steven Chapmanxx

Born and raised in New York City, I grew up in a close-knit family. After graduating high school, I attended Chadron State College in Nebraska, and subsequently I enlisted in the United States Air Force. I served four years, including a tour in Vietnam.

In 1973, I was appointed to the Union police Department. Shortly thereafter, I married the Love of My Life, Joanne.  My wife and I were blessed with the birth of our son, Tarik, and daughter, Stephanie. I served as a Police Officer for 27 years and retired in 1999.

I started riding motorcycles in 1998, when I first fell in love with the “Goldwing” and it was with great pride that in 2007 I joined the New Jersey Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club.

I made my first long ride, in the rain, incidently, (from New Jersey to Nebraska), and received my "Soldier" on the road. It was an experience (and GAVE me experience), that I will never forget.

It is my goal to continue membership in this great organization.
